Dr. Nair retired as the Senior Lecturer and specialist in Marma Department, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, after servicing for 28 years.In order to provide a better treatment under the control of qualified staff, an inpatient unit was started at Kaithamukku in 1982. This was initially a seven bed hospital. His first team had three doctors and five paramedical technicians.
